An intense year

Hi guys, I'm going to write about my year to this day … It has really been a very intense year with many academic and work activities. This has made it a bit difficult to perfect my bouquets. This year I have 8 branches, in different faculties, so sometimes I have complicated schedules ... Since last year, in addition to the subjects, I have been working on many activities with my Guitar Duo, some of which were scheduled for this semester, concerts, recordings and tours. This semester I had the pleasure of participating in different cities of Uruguay, where we offered concerts and created an audiovisual record with the guitars of a Luthier from the City of Canelones. It was a very beautiful experience, full of musical learning and life. This is something that makes me very happy. Another thing that has given me a lot of joy is having received my degree in Music Teacher about a month ago. It was a long process, where three good friends of career participa...

Travel around the World

In post 6 I talked about the things that I would like to do. I finished that post talking about traveling the world. I have met very few people who don’t like to know other places, most people love the idea, but few people are passionate about the idea, and only a small group of people take the initiative. I believe that the experience of knowing the outside causes knowing the interior, that is to say, that the trip is both external and internal. We all need to learn, and the self-knowledge provided by travel always makes us grow. A very important learning is that the limits are not as real as they seem. For example, we can believe that there is a natural line that divides countries, but we all know that they are only political limits. During the trips we go through circumstances that can make us defect, however, when we overcome those limits, we understand that those limits were self-imposed. Recognizing and valuing different cultures, from our own culture allo...

Musical project

During the holidays I began to study about the management of musical projects because the need to find and create spaces to spread the music we do was growing. At the beginning of the academic year, I registered the subject of Management of musical projects, which has helped me to solve many of the doubts that had arisen in the summer. It has also helped me to specify projects in a better way. The subject that we have been studying is oriented to the management of projects of own initiative that can be financed by economic resources of governmental institutions. All this process has led me to read many texts of cultural policies that allow me to handle the technical language of the field of culture. Which has meant a lot of time, but also learning. My acting career in guitar has a limited work field, so the subject appears in a very timely way because it helps us create our own spaces that allow us to do the art we study and live at the same time. Making our...

Great guitar player

After thinking about it for a while, I think I have decided to talk about a great reference for my musical development. In 2013 an accordionist friend recommended me to listen to Yamandu Costa, a great Brazilian guitarist and composer. When I heard his music I was impressed by his technical and musical virtuosity. Yamandu Costa is a young musician, he is 39 years old and made his debut as an artist when he was 17 years old in Sao Paulo. He was born into a family of musicians, his father made gypsy music. All this possibly gave him the necessary tools to develop in music. His main work consists of his own compositions based on rhythms from Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, influenced by teachers after his father. Some rhythms that he plays are choro, bossa nova, milonga, tango, samba, chamamé. However, he has recently been learning other rhythms in different countries. I think the way Yamandú Costa manages to communicate with the instrument is admirable. His ability to i...

Extreme Sports

There are some things that I would like to do in life and that I still do not do. I have never done extreme sports regularly, but I feel attracted to them. As a child I liked adrenaline a lot, after a while, I was channeling all that energy into some discipline. I practiced personal defense, gymnastics, karate and soccer ... I also liked to draw and paint a lot. All this until I met the guitar that introduced me to the world of music, I dedicated so much energy to this art that I stopped doing many things. I started creating fascinating experiences with music. However, by organizing my time and energy, I can now complement myself with other activities. This has given me time to think again about activities like the ones I liked when I was a kid. Some of these are parachuting, paragliding, bungee jumping, surfing, vertical climbing, among others. To practice these extreme sports I have to be in nature, which helps me a lot to connect with the environment and ...

My favorite technological pieces

Imagen
Well, if we understand technology like any tool that facilitates our life, my favorite is the Guitar, one of the things I enjoy the most. However, in the context of our current society new technologies use to be digital, which doesn't fascinate me, but I know is very important. I had my very first cellphone at the age of 13, when my parents gifted one to me on my birthday. I think that the cellphone is one of the most important technologies, because today it has many tools that make our lives easier. For example: Photography, music, communication, etc, and thats the reason why I the use it very often. So, besides being just a cellphone, is also a smart computer. I think without it, life would be harder to success the current competition. The access to Internet from my cellphone make this one of my favorite technologies because it facilitates my life to listen to music, to communicate with my family, friends and to resolve academic stuff. Also, the cellphone ...

My career

When I was very young I dreamed of playing the guitar, I used the broom imagining that it was a guitar and imitated the guitarists of same music bands I watched on television. Later, like many, I wanted to be a football player, then veterinarian, until I decided on music and finally on guitar. During high school, the only thing that I used to do was play music with my band and barely studied for test, which made my decision to study music evident. When I wanted to study Veterinarian Medicine, I realized that I had not interest in the Biology, but just for animals, so I keep loving animals and music. When I get in University I met many people with interest like mines, the process has been very important for music, human and spiritual stuff. Today I believe that I am in the right place to dedicate myself to music, teaching, producing and promoting it.
